A 4-person delegation of UNELTA members participated in the first African Lake Zone English Language Consortium (ALZELC) Conference hosted by the Tanzanian English Language Teachers’ Association (TELTA) at the Saint Augustine University of Tanzania in Mwanza. The four UNELTA representatives who all delivered workshops and paper presentations include Rogers Ssemogerere (UNELTA Chairperson), Catherine Nansobya (UNELTA Secretary), Dallen Atwebembire (UNELTA member) and Amoni Kitooke (UNELTA Projects Coordinator). Sarah Sanderson, the English Language Fellow placed at Mbarara University of Science and Technology, also delivered a workshop at the conference.

UNELTA will host the ALZELC Conference in Kampala next year. Details about this will be shared when the organizing committee has made strategic decisions regarding this.
