Over the past few months, UNELTA members have engaged in various Professional Development Programs, some of them delivered through webinars. These professional development programs for teachers of English include 60-90 minute recordings from previous webinars, corresponding downloadable presentations and additional resources.

The Webinar Courses are hosted by the U.S. Department of State’s Office of English Language Programs in the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. This professional development program for English teachers around the globe addresses methodological topics that foster interactive, student-centered language instruction.

Rather than attending individually somewhere else, UNELTA members organize themselves into small groups to attend these programs at the U.S Embassy in Kampala, so as to have better interactions among themselves.
